Junior Program Competitions

The competitors and staff of Siti Dance Studio travel to local, regional, and national competitions every month. Our competitive students participate in both USA Dance and NDCA organized events and compete at regional qualifying competitions to be able to represent the studio at the National Dancesport Championships. Every year, the number of couples who represent our studio grows. This growing competitive team is one of the best and most successful in the country!
Our students and their teachers prepare for the competitions, with meticulous attention to the details of each competitive routine. As a result, they have some of the best technical and musical presentation on the competition floor. In years past, many of Siti Dance Studio couples have become regional and United States national finalists, and champions!
But we do not just specialize in training couples. The Singles and Pro/Am dancers are also in the ranks of the best in the country. All students, who are not able to compete with a permanent partner in their own age and level, have the opportunity to travel, perform, and compete with any of Siti Dance Studio’s instructors traveling to every competition with their students, making sure that each child is ready to perform. They are there to assist with major requirements of the competitive life, such as costumes, hair, and make up, and also there to prepare each student mentally and emotionally for the exciting, but nerve racking competitive environment.
Though competitions require a serious commitment, they are an important and healthy part of the Dance Sport. Traveling to competitions allows the dancers to compete with peers from around the country, stimulating their desire for improvement and hard work. Competitive dancers also connect and interact with other dancers from different states and countries with various backgrounds, which helps them develop socially. Among other healthy benefits of competitive dancing, traveling to competitions also expands children’s world views, helping them become more independent and responsible.
